About the Gauthiers

Hope in Life Church was founded by Phil & Caroline Gauthier in 1997. The Gauthier's are anointed by the Lord to serve the body of Christ through teaching God's Word (i.e., seminars, Bible study courses, leadership training, etc.) prophetic ministry (i.e., presbytery or, prophetic gatherings) and healing (both physical and spiritual healing). This gifted couple has served as full time founding and senior pastors in the ministry since 1983. They bring many years of servant-leadership experience into their ministry.

Phil and Caroline have founded two churches in New York State. They currently pastor Hope in Life Church which is a growing, Spirit-filled church located in Carmel, NY.

Our Vision

Our vision is, “To be like Jesus and do His works.” We believe that Jesus Christ came to teach us how to walk in the love and life of God. As we each grow in our relationship with God, we will do deeds that demonstrate His love, His nature and His goodness.

Our Mission

Our mission is to “Walk in God’s love and lead others to Christ.” Christianity is all about experiencing a personal relationship with God. Jesus Christ demonstrated this throughout His earthly ministry. He taught that we can all know God as our heavenly Father. God is love. As we walk in His love, we are motivated to demonstrate His goodness to others; both through our words and our deeds. By doing this, we lead others to Christ by showing them what He is like.

Our Passion

Our passion is, “To lead people into encountering God.” We believe that Jesus Christ came to earth so that all humankind could know God personally. We also believe that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit so that He would lead and guide us in our daily lives.
